The federal corruption case against Brooklyn state Assemblyman William Boyland Jr. has taken a familial bent as US Attorney Loretta Lynch and her prosecutors appear to be turning up the heat on him.
A recent Brooklyn federal court filing showed that Assemblyman Boyland had his own father pick up a bribe from an undercover agent, with William Boyland Sr. picking up a $3,000 check from a man he believed to be a real estate developer, the New York Post writes:

Boyland Jr. appears to refuse to take plea and insists on going to trial.  If the feds decide to go after Pop Boyland, it wouldn’t be the first time they went after father-son pols. The Espadas, Pedro and Pedro G., are a recently convicted pair. The Velellas a Bronx GOP duo also come to mind.
