Finally! CNN is reporting that George Zimmerman was charged and is in police custody. The Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey has charged Zimmerman with second degree manslaughter in the death of Trayvon Martin.
This is great news and a relief for a nation on edge for 45 days. It will now fall to a judge and jury to determine the facts of the case and to render a decision.
Presently, Zimmerman, who turned himself after learning that charges would be brought, is being held without bond and he is in the process of getting new legal counsel.
