Amid Romney and Paul people, black fraternities muster a loud show of support for Obama | Capital New York.
Reid Pillifant reports from New Hampshire that two black fraternities, Omega Psi Phi and Kappa Alpha Psi, have created 1911 United, an Obama Super PAC. 1911 refers the year in which the two frats were incorporated.
The Obama backers were part of a new group called 1911 United, which sounds like a union, but is actually a joint effort of two historically black fraternities, Omega Psi Phi and Kappa Alpha Psi.
The new group, which is registered as a super PAC, is targeting seven battleground states on behalf of the president, and hoping to train 10,000 volunteers to work on behalf of the president.
