I was recently asked to offer my take on Governor Andrew Cuomo’s thoughts about running for President in 2016.
“I think Andrew Cuomo constantly assesses his own presidential caliber. He may not be ready in his mind.”
Political pro Hank Sheinkopf and pollster Steve Greenberg also weigh in.

Not everyone wants to run for President, and many that do shouldn’t. I believe Christie is in the latter category, he is a media bully, a fatso in an age of skinny, a blowhard, and actually not palatable to the core Republican party. Cuomo may not even want to be president, apparently his father didn’t as he never made a serious run at it. Guiliani is a perfect example, a highly ambitious official who got nowhere in his two runs at it, and he really should just stop and live out his career sucking off the 9-11 teat. I don’t believe Cuomo has the “right stuff” for this nation’s president. He is not telegenic, he hasn’t accomplished anything yet to merit any excitement and his handling of Albany scandals is nothing to write home about. I believe AG Eric Schneiderman has more to run on at this point than Cuomo. For those touting his run to hop on a gravy train, please study Cuomo’s history, he got his rep as a ruthless SOB for a reason, not the least of which is taking on strangers to ride his coattails when he has so many other long-term mouths to feed. I hope he becomes a good governor starting with pressuring to remove Shelly and stop the spigot of tax payers’ money going to settle sex harassment threats, not lawsuits, but the threat of lawsuits. That will be worthy of national attention and thanks.
