On Monday, incumbent CM Maria del Carmen Arroyo faced off against her Democratic challenger and small businessman, Julio Pabon on BronxTalk Live. The 17th Council District encompasses Melrose, Hunts Point, Longwood as well as parts of Morrisania, Soundview and West Farms.

The Democratic Primary is Tuesday, September 10. Polls are open 6AM until 9PM.
