According to the Daily News trial coverage, a transcript of a conversation between Ry-Ann Hermon, the former chief of staff and girlfriend of Assemblyman William Boyland Jr., and an undercover agent, the assemblyman wanted to be a Mafia don.
Boyland is on trial for soliciting and receiving a bribe from an undercover federal agent.
